“ This is our second time dining at hot butter soul and our expectations were exceeded each time, from the waitress, the food and the atmosphere. You may look at the menu and think wow this is a little pricey. But when they bring out your food that thought goes right out the window. This was a strawberry shortcake, pancakes stack. Amazing. ”
“ Great 1st time visit to this black owned business for brunch. Everything was good. BYOB, which was a plus. This meal was way too much for 2 ppl (as advertised). The portion were huge, so come hungry.We will definitely be back for their soul food. ”
“ I wanted to try something different for my husband‘s 55th birthday by supporting his childhood friend, Kevin Benson, and Chef Keeya’s restaurant and booked a surprise 55th Beer and Brunchn ‘ EN BLACK event! The food is good and plentiful. The grits were perfect!! The fish was perfect!! The chicken was perfect!! The waffles were perfect!! The fruit was so fresh!!!!.Everything cooked to perfection and cooked with LOVE! They had to have gotten up at the crack of dawn to prepare and cook food for 50 people and I am so thankful! CHEF’S do not get enough credit, that is a lot of work and preparation, but I guess when you love what you do, it makes it easier. Everything was perfect! That will be a day to remember! I do recommend if you book make sure you bring containers for your guests to take food because there will be so much food. WORTH EVERY PENNY! ”
“ Sunday brunch was simply amazing!! Everything I tried was made to perfection and tasted soooo good. I had the Rich Auntie Breakfast. It included eggs, grits or potatoes, catfish and a biscuit. I was mad I got full before finishing half of the plate. My friend had the chicken and waffles! We shared everything to get a variety of things to taste. Huge portions!! You will need a take home box!! Great ambiance (live music), decor, serve and food. Will definitely be back to try everything else on the menu. ”
“ Visted HBSSC this morning, nothing less than Amazing. Was not aware that we needed reservations for Brunch. However we were blessed to get a seating for two. Our server Sierra was top notch. Sierra created us with a smile and enthusiasm. The atmosphere was very pleasant. Now down to the food. The servings are not for the weak. Sierra warned that they were big, big. We ordered the Catfish-grits and potatoes, Chicken and waffles, Strawberry lemonade, OJ, Side of Eggs Turkey Bacon, side of grits and the Banana pudding pancakes with a side of milk. Needless to say almost all of it went home. I did ask Sierra if anyone has ever completed the meal at a sitting, she laughed and said No. Its a lot. Very good. The service provided was highly professional, courteous, and friendly, resulting in a positive experience. We will return and make sure we make reservations if its a Sunday. ”

First off, I will give a shout out to Javeon and Sierra for being able to accommodate my husband and I for brunch. 2nd, if you are making reservation online MAKE SURE YOU RESPOND TO THE CONFIRMATION EMAIL THEY SEND YOU. IF NOT, YOUR RESERVATION WILL BE CANCELED (their rules not mine lol). 3rd, the strawberry shortcake pancakes was massive in size, very flavorful and a sweet treat. The kielbasa sausage, lawd, that thing was sooo good . I kept eating my husband's and he was not happy about that lol. I had the Rich auntie southern breakfast, which came with 3 fried cat fish, potatoes, 3 eggs, and 2 biscuits with hot syrup. I'm licking my lips just thinking about how delicious my meal was. Overall I give this place a 100/100 for service, 100/100 for portion size, and 100/100 for flavor. I will definitely be visiting again. But no time soon because its 2 days later and I'm still full from brunch ”
“ I had the most incredible time dining here on Friday, October 11. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, reminding me of those cherished kitchen table moments with my mom, grandmom, and friends—laughter, smiles, and pure joy all around. I was dining alone and talked to others at there table- we had a good time and didn't know each other!! The star of the night was a true wonder woman of a staff member who made sure every single guest was well-attended to, with food served hot and fresh. The food was absolutely stellar, each dish bursting with flavor and warmth. I live in Guam and travel back to New Jersey once a year to hold events for nurses and people of color in a safe camp environment. I was craving good soul food, and not only was my appetite satisfied, but my soul was fed too. Thank you for this wonderful experience! Trust in your gut, .......this is the place to be. ”
“ Tonight was my first time dining at Hot Butter Soul Supper Club and my, my, my, my, my, my my it sure was good tonight!! The food was great, the ambiance was great, the service was great and the music was just right! I had the whiting with potato salad and collard greens, with a delicious slice of cornbread on the side. The servings are HUGE!! If you are looking for good food, service and ambiance do yourself a favor and get to Hot Butter Soul Supper Club! I went with a friend tonight, I can’t wait to go back with my husband.
